Public Perception on Transparency and Information Provision at Local Level

This publication funded by Soros Foundation in Albania aims to bring into attention of responsible insitutions the citizens’ perception on the quality of public services delivery using the Citizens’ Report Card. The study represent the opinion of the citizens in the cities of Puka and Lushnja, on access to information, usage and satisfaction level of public services provision. Its serves as a very useful communicative tool between citizens and policy – makers with the positive goal of potential improvement of services as well as increase of accountability.

The analysis of data collected from the study allows firstly the identification of key constraints citizens face in accessing public services; secondly, their views about information access on services and the treatment citizens receive in their interactions with service providers, especially with officials of main institutions such are Municipalities and IPROs
